Legacy Dances

Legacy Dances is the long-awaited twelfth release from four-time Grammy-nominated vibraphonist, composer, and jazz radio chart-topper Stefon Harris. Arriving 20 years after the launch of his game-changing ensemble Blackout, this fifth album from the group blends modern jazz with African rhythms, R&B, and electronic soul.

The album also carries real emotional weight. It includes some of the final studio recordings by the late Casey Benjamin, the saxophonist, vocalist, and vocoder specialist who co-founded Blackout and helped shape the Robert Glasper Experiment. Benjamin passed away just two months after the sessions.

Having held the release back out of respect, Harris now shares Legacy Dances as a soulful celebration of a deep creative bond and a lasting musical legacy.
