Lil Herb is G Herbo’s return to the fundamentals. The 16-track project is a full-circle moment that pays homage to what shaped him while also officially closing the chapter on his Lil Herb era. This project marks both an ending and a beginning, as he turns 30 and prepares to step into a new phase of life and artistry. Sonically, the project is grounded in the sounds that defined his early days, featuring production from Chicago mainstays like No I.D., Chase Davis, Oz On The Track, and C-Sick, as well as longtime collaborators Don Cannon, Southside, and Smatt.

Lil Herb acts as a time capsule; it's deeply immersive and rooted in the soundscape of an era. Now nearly 15 years into his journey, G Herbo uses Lil Herb to take stock of his longevity, where he’s from, how far he’s come, and what it’s taken to get here. The result is an introspective sonic memoir that taps into the raw lyricism, vulnerability, and technical precision that first set him apart.
