Live Aid took place on 13th July 1985, with the iconic words "It's 12 noon in London, 7 AM in Philadelphia, and around the world it's time for Live Aid." Two billion people, a third of the world’s population, tuned in to watch the event, making it the biggest ever gathering of a global audience. It attracted more viewers than the moon landing.

The event was the result of a chain of events that began eight months earlier when a rock star decided to write a Christmas single to raise money for Ethiopian famine relief. The initiative raised over £200 million pounds and became a musical and charitable phenomenon spanning four decades. From Band Aid to USA for Africa, Live Aid to Live 8, the story covers a range of events and personalities, from presidents, prime ministers, and popes to icons like Bowie, Bono, and Queen.

The narrative sheds light on both the sainted praise and 'white savior' criticism that surrounded these efforts. For the first time, the inside story of these events is revealed, offering a behind-the-scenes look at how these initiatives rocked the world.
