Recorded at Loughborough University in February 1976 during the tour for Alleycat, the set features Ian Carr on trumpet, flugelhorn and synthesiser, alongside Bob Bertles, Ken Shaw, Geoff Castle, Roger Sutton and Roger Sellers.

Approved by the Ian Carr Trust, this Esoteric Recordings edition also includes an illustrated booklet with liner notes by Sid Smith. A fitting tribute to Ian Carr, and a reminder of his pioneering role in the fusion of jazz and rock.
