Craig Green, guitarist and composer, has a unique vision and constant exploration that has spanned the last 20 years. He has worked on a wide and diverse constellation of artistic projects, ranging from jazz, avant garde, electronica, and world music. Collaboration and improvisation are the focus of his work, as he has scored music for stage, film, ballet, and chamber ensembles, in addition to continuously producing recorded projects.
The album Love Notes In Binary Code comprises four beautifully recorded duets of Green's acoustic guitar with Radiohead drummer Clive Deamer. The idea for the project was conceived a year before the one-day Bristol session. While primarily improvised in form, the composed parts were written just days before the recording, with some pieces even written on the trains to and from Paris, and the remainder en route to the studio the evening before the recording.
The concept behind Love Notes In Binary Code is a simple artistic reaction and personal commentary on the current state of information, connections, and interpersonal communication. The personnel on the album includes Craig Green on guitar and Clive Deamer on drums and percussion.
