Autopsy released their triumphant first full-length album in 2011, now available on mid-price CD. Macabre Eternal has been described as "always the dirtiest, most gruesome of all death metal bands" by METAL HAMMER.
The band, one of the early US death metal acts, originally formed in 1987 in San Francisco. Autopsy released four albums on Peaceville Records, starting with the classic debut Severed Survival in 1989, before disbanding in 1995.
After a 15-year hiatus, Autopsy officially returned with the 2010 EP The Tomb Within, followed by a series of successful headlining festivals. In 2011, Autopsy entered Fantasy studios to record Macabre Eternal, their long-awaited fifth album.
The original trio of Chris Reifert, Danny Coralles, and Eric Cutler were joined by Joe Trevisano of Abscess/Von fame on bass for this release. Featuring 12 tracks of brutality, disease, and depravity, Macabre Eternal will be reissued as a mid-price CD in a jewel case packaging with a 16-page booklet and an OBI card.
Don't miss out on this essential album from Autopsy.
