Me and the Music

Claud’s third album, Me and the Music, turns existential weight into something bright, warm, and gloriously singalong. Three years on from 2023’s Supermodels and after 2021’s Super Monster, they trade sulking for release, landing on songs that hold sincerity and fun in the same breath.

Produced by Claud and John Congleton, the record moves through romance, regret, inside jokes, America the band and America the place with real care. The title track began at Electric Lady with Hank Heaven and Annie DiRusso, opening the door to a looser, more joyful way of making music.

The lead single She Doesn’t Love Me sits at the album’s centre: a driving anthem about being queer and trans in America in the 2020s. The Legend, made with longtime collaborator Dan Nigro, cuts into hidden love, while I Owe You delivers the record’s most open-hearted devotion.
