Meine Idee

In the fall of 2007, 26-year-old Cologne-based producer Daso Franke released his 12" for Ghostly's Spectral Sound label. On the A-side sat Meine, a euphoric eight-minute ascent that delighted dancefloors around the world. Since then, the single has become something of a classic.

Earlier this year, Resident Advisor called Meine one of the best songs of the century so far. In April 2018, Franke passed away after a long bout with cancer. With the support of his family and demand from fans, the Meine Idee EP is available again in memory of Daso's musical legacy.

Resident Advisor continues: "It's unbelievably positive, which explains why it was a Panorama Bar favourite for years. In the final moments of his life, Daso's friends played Meine from a stereo in the corner of his hospital room. It was the only way." His music will live on.
