Melodies on the Move

Mozart Edition presents a collection of 24 stereo instrumental recordings from their production music library. These recordings were featured on the BBC test card and Ceefax transmissions from the 1960s to the 1990s, during non-broadcast times.

The selection includes music from artists such as Peter Hope, Ernest Tomlinson (as William Gardner and Alan Perry), and Peter Thomas and his Band.

Founded in the late 1950s by music publishers Joe Cohen from London and Dr. Gustav Zagler from Vienna, Mozart Edition (GB) Ltd started with its first office in Sherlock Mews, Baker Street, London. The company engaged renowned British composers and arrangers in the light orchestral field, expanding to include composers and arrangers from various parts of Europe.

This new CD features 24 recordings from the vaults of the Mozart Edition library, many of which are being released for the first time in stereo. Proceeds from the sale of this CD support Chichester Hospital Radio.
