In this slightly parallel universe, robec goes all electronic on his second album on Gymnocal Industries with Modular Sessions I - Actaeon. Recorded live on modular synth over the course of a week, the concept is simple: patch, record, reset, and repeat—every day. By locking randomness in melodies and patterns, this generative starting point lets the songs evolve into hypnotic repetitiveness and cinematic soundscapes, shaping this experimental industrial sounding album. Although being inspired by Brian Eno’s idea of control and surrender, the ploinkyness of Tom Waits and Tangerine Dream’s sequencing, the album's backbone is the ritual pulse of a kickdrum and dark ambient synths.
