Originally released in 2011, the third studio album by the powerhouse trio is packed with adrenaline-pumping anthems that cemented their place in the UK indie rock scene. The album showcases the band’s ability to blend infectious melodies with biting social commentary, capturing the spirit of a generation. Recorded and produced by Stephen Street (The Smiths, BLUR, Kaiser Chiefs) in London, Money & Celebrity is The Subways at their most dynamic, featuring hit singles like "We Don’t Need Money to Have a Good Time," which received widespread radio support, including heavy rotation on BBC Radio 1, and "It's a Party," which became a fan favourite after the band released it out of the blue via their website with no prior warning, crashing their server.
