Issued in October 2014, Motion debuted at number two on the UK Album Chart and at number five on the Billboard 200 in the US. It also became Harris' second chart-topper on the Dance/Electronic Albums chart.

The album is his 4th studio album and a platinum-seller in the UK. Motion is packed with EDM crowd-pleasers and features an impressive range of guest vocalists, including Hurts, Haim, Gwen Stefani, John Newman, and Ellie Goulding.

The album has been available on vinyl only once before, as a Record Store Day exclusive in 2015.
