The Snow Goose is the third studio album by the band Camel, released in 1975. The music, composed by Andrew Latimer and Peter Bardens, inspired by Paul Gallico’s novella The Snow Goose, was highly evocative and featured The London Symphony Orchestra with arrangements by David Bedford.
The album was hailed upon its release and is regarded as one of the best progressive rock albums of all time by Prog magazine readers. This three disc 2CD and multi-region Blu-ray version is released to coincide with the album’s 50th anniversary. It features the original album mix remastered by Ben Wiseman, along with 5.1 surround sound and stereo mixes by Stephen W Tayler.
The release also includes five bonus tracks drawn from rare singles and the album sessions, and an illustrated booklet with an essay.
