Gilbert O'Sullivan returns with On The Record, a new studio album from one of Britain’s most enduring songwriters. More than 55 years on from his debut, Himself, he still writes with the wit, warmth and melodic touch that made Alone Again (Naturally), Clair and Get Down such lasting favourites.

Produced by Gilbert O'Sullivan with Andy Wright, the album brings together insight, melody and understated humour in a way that feels completely his own. It’s Me has a soulful seventies glow with echoes of Steely Dan, while Is That You? features Andrea Corr of The Corrs.

Mixed by Tony Hoffer, On The Record balances intimacy with rich, timeless production. Growing Old Disgracefully adds a wry autobiographical note, with Gilbert quipping that “growing old disgracefully beats the hell out of staying well.” Honest, melodic and unmistakably his own, this is a welcome new chapter.
