The late great Valerie Carter was a singers- singer - who through her career sang backup for everyone from James Taylor and Jimmy Webb to Willie Nelson and Neil Diamond as well as a hit songwriter for Judy Collins and Jackson Browne.

A lost classic of post Laurel Canyon Americana, Just A Stone’s Throw Away features her warm, soulful cover of the Five Stairsteps’ Ooh Child and a stellar supporting cast including Linda Ronstadt, Maurice White (Earth Wind and Fire), Lowell George (Little Feat), Jackson Browne, Deniece Williams and more.
