Valentino Vivace is one of the most distinctive voices in the new wave of Swiss pop music. Born in the Italian-speaking part of Switzerland and now based in Zurich, he blends Italo disco, French touch and indie pop into a sound that feels both retro and futuristic. His music thrives on shimmering synths, catchy hooks, Italian lyrics – and a refined sense for moods oscillating between euphoria and melancholy.
He released his debut album Meteoriti in 2022 completely independently – without a label or management – making a strong first statement. The combination of DIY ethos, stylistic confidence and musical depth earned him a Swiss Music Award nomination for “Best Talent” as well as extensive airplay on stations such as SRF3, Couleur3, Rete Tre and Deutschlandfunk Kultur. On Spotify, Valentino now reaches up to 100,000 monthly listeners, with a steadily growing international audience.
In a remarkably short time, Valentino Vivace has also established himself as a live act. After early appearances on major Swiss stages – including Montreux Jazz Festival, Gurtenfestival and Openair St. Gallen – he soon expanded internationally. He has performed at Eurosonic (ESNS) in Groningen,
MS Dockville in Hamburg, Fusion Festival near Berlin, Appletree Garden and Waves Vienna, among others. His shows are known for their energy, strong visual identity and attention to detail – a blend of performance, party and precisely choreographed euphoria.
With his second album Discoteca Vivace, released in January 2025 on the Milan-based boutique label Fluidostudio, Valentino opened a new chapter. Inspired by the iconic Italian clubs of the 1980s, the album tells the story of a night on the dancefloor – from the first encounter to sunrise. Between pulsing beats, glamorous sensuality and fragile introspection, it unfolds as a cohesive musical narrative. The album was created together with Arnaud Paolini and Mathieu Nuzzo, between Zurich, Sestri Levante and Milan.
Singles such as “Insieme,” “Baia degli Angeli” and “Hulahoop” found their way onto curated Spotify playlists such as Italo Disco and into numerous club sets. His music is also featured on the Italomania compilation released by the renowned label Toy Tonics; a remix for Ora The Molecule further underlines his connection to an international club and pop scene. The Discoteca Vivace Tour 2025 took him across Germany, Italy, Switzerland, France, Croatia, Austria and Mexico, with many soldout shows and a steadily growing fanbase.
Valentino Vivace wrapped up his most successful summer to date in September 2025 with the release of the single “Granello Di Speranza” – an atmospheric closing track of his current live set and a clear fan favourite.
A new album titled Oscillare is scheduled for release in May 2026. Conceptually, it marks a deliberate shift away from the collective euphoria of the dancefloor toward a more suspended, introspective space between closeness and distance, light and retreat. Musically, the focus moves toward psychedelic-tinged indie pop, more reduced arrangements and a stronger songwriter-driven approach. First insights into this new chapter will be revealed on the Primavera Vivace Tour in April 2026, taking Valentino Vivace through Germany, Austria, France and further selected European territories
