Peace Militia Vol. 2

The fusion of music for peace and military iconography is something that has always intrigued Back To Roots Records as well as how shared euphoric experience can bring dancefloor unity. This led us to the idea of creating a material product that can display this, they landed on the idea of a limited cassette mix series to express this.

Conceptually the Peace Militia grows with each release as a new DJ is inducted into the“militia”. The DJs share an appreciation of the power that shared dance floor euphoria can bring. Deep tracks are this militia’s weapon of choice.Volume 2 is brought to you by Seb Rolley. Seb is a party host and DJ focused on using music as a force for celebration and facilitating community. He draws inspiration from gatherings such as Beauty and the Beat (where he recently played), Rude Movements, All Our Friends, and Lucky Cloud Loft Party as host of Pra Vida: a monthly Sunday party in Birmingham. He can also be frequently found spinning his outer national mix of warm, psychedelic records at venues across Birmingham and London. The mix navigates Sebs love for outernation grooves, trip hop steppers as well as political dub and a whole lot more.
