Poltergeist is the debut solo album from Sam Herlihy, best known as the frontman and lyricist for mid-2000s indie rock band Hope of the States. Following the group’s split in 2006, Herlihy formed the indie outfit The Northwestern and collaborated on projects like Racetrack Gospel and Dark Houses.
Poltergeist is a heartfelt, raw and emotional album that sounds like a lost 90s classic, with beautiful instrumentation and Sam’s pure vocals.
