Recapturing The Banjo

Taylor's unique brand of blues already included use of banjo. On this CD, he highlights the instrument as a reminder that the banjo was of African origin before it became associated with white music, first in minstrel shows and later in country and folk. This CD presents more of Taylor's tales of racism and oppression, with his daughter, bassist Cassie Taylor, again adding background vocals.
