Purest Form make visceral dance-punk out of modern-day angst and unrest. The newly formed Los Angeles trio of vocalist Story Beeson, guitarist and programmer Madi Woodward, and bassist Riley Oikawa-Dahlson channel hardcore roots and a shared love of industrial and techno into something heavy, playful, and sensual.

Their Dais Records debut, Resistance, is a potent six-track anarchist assault on the system, driven by collective anger in late-stage capitalism and a year of nonstop trauma in Los Angeles, from the fires to ICE.

Building on their self-titled 2024 EP, which Stereogum likened to Nine Inch Nails' Broken, Resistance is more agile and charged-up. Serrated riffs, fractured breakbeats, basslines, and body-quaking feedback collide with nods to death metal and acid house, all pushed by Beeson's urgent, near-shredded voice.
