KRIEG is set to release their new full-length LP, Ruiner, on Oct 13. This album marks the first full-length release from the iconic US black metal band since 2014's Transient. Ruiner is a despondent expression of the classic KRIEG sound, solidifying their position as pioneers of US black metal.
Despite the nine-year gap since their last full-length album, KRIEG has remained active through various splits, collaborations, and EPs. All these efforts have led to the creation of Ruiner, showcasing unrepentant and remorseless black metal in the reflective style that KRIEG and mastermind N. Jameson are known for.
Ruiner draws on the savage and unhinged aura present in KRIEG's classic works such as Destruction Ritual (2001), The Black House (2004), and Blue Miasma (2006), while maintaining a harsh, sorrowful, and cold-blooded melancholic atmosphere.
