XTC in the XIV is ecstasy through song, ecstasy through repetition – eternal zenith, exalted and otherworldly. By combining 14th-century choral works and filtering them through sparse electronic musical techniques, the ensemble creates a world that is difficult to place yet completely self-evident at the same time.
