The latest iteration of the classic signature song. Originally released in the Christmas season of 1972, ‘Santa Dog’ is back for its 50th birthday in the festive season of 2022. The title track went on to become a milestone for The Residents, being re-recorded every couple of years, usually when the group felt their sound had changed enough. ‘Santa Dog’ has become one of The Residents’ most notorious releases since its birth in the 70s and is now one of their most well-known songs. This limited 50th Anniversary 7″ single features ‘Santa Dog 2022’ as the title track with ‘Fire’ as the B-Side.
