Spike and the Gimme Gimmes, previously known as Me First and the Gimme Gimmes until last year, have long felt like the most joyfully chaotic cover band around. A genuine supergroup, the five founding members had already built serious careers before coming together through a shared love of punk.
The original lineup featured Spike Slawson of Swingin' Utters, Fat Mike of NOFX, Chris Shiflett of Foo Fighters, plus Joey Cape and Dave Raun of Lagwagon. These days, the band continues in a changing lineup centred around singer Spike Slawson.
