Simple Game

For the third time, Hamburg-based musicians Vladyslav Sendecki and Jürgen Spiegel return to their duo project with Simple Game. It follows Two In The Mirror from 2019 and Solace from 2021, arriving after five years spent deepening the musical conversation that makes this partnership so distinctive.

The album brings together original compositions and new readings of jazz and pop standards. Sendecki, longtime member of the NDR Bigband and a major figure in Poland, contributes five pieces, including Simple Game and Friendly Garden. He has performed with Michał Urbaniak, Leszek Żądło, Urszula Dudziak, Tomasz Stańko, Klaus Doldinger, Billy Cobham and the Brecker Brothers.

Spiegel, known worldwide as drummer of the Tingvall Trio, adds three originals. After their take on Peter Gabriel's Don't Give Up, the duo now revisit Lennon and McCartney's Come Together and Everything Must Change, made famous by Quincy Jones, with real weight and purpose.
