Since You've Been Gone / Just Loving You

The last in Kent’s hugely influential 1980s LP run arrived in 1990 with Garland Green’s The Spring Sides (Kent 097). Alongside his magnificent nine released 45 tracks, it also introduced three equally strong unreleased cuts.

Come Through Me picked up most of the plaudits and went on to become a Modern Soul anthem. Over time, though, Since You’ve Been Gone has become almost as popular, and it has long deserved a 45 release.

There were actually four previously unheard tracks on that LP, as an alternate take of Just Loving You was included by mistake, opening with a sizeable rap before Garland Green eases into that unforgettable vocal. This is the first time DJs will have it on a 45 for the dancefloor.
