The Fear Ratio presents Slinky, their new album on Tresor Records. This collaborative project, consisting of Mark Broom and James Ruskin, marks their return since the release of They Can't Be Saved on Skam in 2020.
British rapper King Kashmere is also featured on two tracks. James Ruskin, known for his seminal albums Point 2, Into Submission, The Dash, and his recent Siklikal EP, has a history with Tresor Records. On the other hand, Mark Broom's only appearance on the label was a 2002 remix of The Golden Apple by Eddie “Flashin” Fowlkes.
Slinky showcases The Fear Ratio's ever-evolving sound. The project shapeshifts by incorporating vocals into their work, constantly pushing boundaries with their uniquely affected rhythms and distinctive, meandering synthesis.
