So, This Is How It Is

In 1993, teens James "Jamie" Zoeller and Elaine Bradley landed in Crystal Lake, Illinois and met in band class. With Chad Price and Adam Kaczmarek, they formed nymb, named after The Secret of NIMH. Their first proper show was in Jamie’s backyard in May 1994.

What began in garages and backyards grew into a key part of the late-90s Chicago scene. After Ben Kane joined on drums, Elaine moved to vocals and guitar. With Cory Verblen, then Nathan Snydacker, nymb sharpened a sound shaped by Hum, Sunny Day Real Estate, and Braid.

So, This Is How It Is is their first full-length, back in print for the first time in decades. It includes two extra tracks from the Jeremy Lemos sessions that first appeared on The Breathing Out Vapors Single, remastered by Carl Saff with updated vinyl art by Wall of Youth.
