After releasing his last two albums on ECM, Shai Maestro immediately became part of the renowned jazz pianists who have shaped the label – Keith Jarrett, Paul Bley, and Chick Corea... Now, he returns with a significant moment in his career: his first solo piano recording, exploring the balance between structure and spontaneity. Solo: Miniatures and Tales is divided into two parts: Miniatures (short, spontaneous improvisations that capture a fleeting moment in time) Tales (expansive, deeply explored pieces that stretch the possibilities of melody and harmony).
