Blood Red Shoes are Brighton’s raw, intense rock duo: Laura Mary Carter on guitar and vocals, and Steven Ansell on drums and vocals. Since forming in 2004, they’ve spent more than twenty years sharpening a sound that fuses melodic bite with real live-wire energy.

Their longevity comes from a rare chemistry: two people growing in different directions while staying deeply connected. That push and pull shapes their music, where romance, melancholy and plainspoken honesty sit side by side with the noise and force.

The new album carries that theme forward and doubles as a document of their shared history. Written, recorded, produced and mixed entirely by Blood Red Shoes, with no manager, A&R or outside producer, it lands with a direct, unfiltered edge and the same fiercely independent spirit that has always guided the band.
