Only the strong will survive – and Stratovarius, celebrating their 40th anniversary in 2024, have certainly proven they are here to stay. Emerging from a vibrant ‘80s metal scene, Stratovarius swiftly made their mark on the symphonic metal scene with early albums like their gritty debut Fright Night (1989) and its more sophisticated follow-up Twilight Time (1992). They quickly gained international success with the following records and in 2022, after a seven-year break following their record Eternal, Stratovarius reclaimed their status as figureheads of symphonic metal with the powerful album Survive. Written and recorded in the middle of a global pandemic, topics such as the environmental situation of the world and the future of mankind became recurring motifs throughout the songs.

Survive is now available as CD jewel case edition – featuring “Heroes”, a very special bonus track. The song is a tribute to those who exhibit extraordinary bravery and resilience, even in the face of adversity.
