Tackyy

Tackyy is the sophomore album from Los Angeles-based drummer/producer Bobbyy and the inaugural release on Pink Siifu’s new label, Dynamite Hill. Spanning 20 tracks across a deluxe gatefold 2xLP, it features contributions from Pink Siifu, Salami Rose Joe Louis, Sam Gendel, Demae, Mndsgn, Telemakus, AKAI SOLO, Tony Bontana, Miguel Atwood-Ferguson, Niki Randa, Javier Santiago, Qur’an Shaheed, Anthony Ferraro and more.

Developed over nearly two years from sketches made on an Elektron Digitakt, Tackyy moves fluidly through hip-hop, jazz, electronic and experimental beat traditions. Dense percussion, warm low-end, layered arrangements and spontaneous collaboration define the album’s sound.

At its core, Tackyy is about connection, perseverance and collective creation, treating gratitude, self-belief and transformation as sources of creative energy. Expansive in scope yet deeply personal, it’s designed as a front-to-back listening experience.
