The Bongolian

The eponymous debut from THE BONGOLIAN, a.k.a. Nasser Bouzida, the mainman from Big Boss Man. Since its 2002 release it has become a recordbox essential for DJs, finding a wide appeal from Dance and Hip-Hop to rare groove and funky 45s fans. Unavailable on LP for several years, but back by popular demand fuelled by 2008's release of The Bongolian's critically acclaimed third album 'Outer Bongolia', the album is now available as a brand new pressing on virgin vinyl! The album is Nasser in his element and left to his own devices taking us on his musical journey of dirty bongo driven Funk and Spaced-out Latin Soul, and for a young man who's principal interests are drums and percussion that makes a lotta sense! The album was written, arranged, performed and produced entirerly by Nasser over a year at his home studio. Recorded on analogue 8 track, the album was mixed by Nasser and Nick Terry. Please note, this album contains NO SAMPLES, the groove just sounds that good!
