The Easy Underground is an homage to Eric Hilton of Thievery Corporation's long-standing fascination with the elegant, cinematic, and frequently overlooked sounds of the 1960s and ’70s. But this is not an exercise in nostalgia. Rather, Hilton approaches these sounds as a producer who has spent decades studying the spaces between genres—where Brazilian music meets jazz, where orchestral pop meets psychedelia, where lounge music becomes something stranger, deeper, and more evocative.
