The Easy Way Out

The Easy Way Out is the first proper release from London’s THE EASY EIGHT, sometimes shortened to EZ8. They may be a new band, but the lineup features familiar faces from some of London hardcore punk’s strongest outfits of the last decade, including THE CHISEL, ARMS RACE, STINGRAY and LAST AFFRONT.

Here they lean into a more melodic approach, landing somewhere between the more melancholic moments of 80s RAMONES records and a touch of MISFITS. It’s sharp, memorable and full of hooks without losing its punk edge.

This LP brings together the band’s first two recording sessions. Side A features the first session, originally released online last autumn, while Side B adds four brand new songs. A strong snapshot of THE EASY EIGHT locking in their sound during year one.
