These tracks were never released as a stand-alone record. At the time of this issue, the only place to hear them was on The Jimmie Vaughan Years - Complete Studio Recordings, the Fabulous Thunderbirds box set.
Before that, they were thought lost for good until the damaged original tapes were found and carefully restored. Doc Pomus and Joel Dorn produced the sessions for the band in 1978 while they were searching for a record deal.
The set also features work with the Roomful Of Blues horns and Al Copley on keyboards. It’s a searing celebration of American music that sat unheard for decades, and still sounds vital now.
