The House Must Win is a standalone musical work from Mick Flannery, drawing from and expanding the narrative world of his debut album, Evening Train. It revisits that earlier story through years of artistic growth and lived experience, giving the record a wider emotional and dramatic reach.

Mick Flannery has written both the script and the music for the stage production, working with Liam Robinson of Hadestown on new orchestrations that bring real theatrical scope and structural ambition to these recordings.

Robinson adds a cinematic, orchestral dimension to the songs, leaning into eerie atmospheres and dramatic tension that deepen the album’s narrative pull.
