Reissue of the sixth studio album by Canadian technical death metal masters Cryptopsy, originally released in 2008. A departure from pure technical death metal to deathcore, with metalcore breakdowns, groove, and even nu-metal hints. Introduced clean singing from new vocalist Matt McGachy alongside harsh vocals. Added keyboards (Maggie Durand) and featured melodic solos, differing greatly from their earlier raw style. A prominent example of a technical death metal band incorporating deathcore elements in the late 2000s. Showcased Cryptopsy's willingness to evolve. The last album featuring guitarist Alex Auburn and bassist Eric Langlois, with Maggie Durand departing shortly after.
