Original Swell Maps drummer/pianist Epic Soundtracks (also a member of Crime And The City Solution and These Immortal Souls), with encouragement from Sonic Youth’s Lee Ranaldo and Kim Gordon struck out as a solo singer/songwriter in 1991, releasing the album Rise Above on Rough Trade in 1992. Following the release of the previously unissued Daga Daga Daga by Soundtracks and Head in 2024, Glass Modern, in association with Seventeen Records is pleased as punch to present these previously unissued Live recordings by Epic Soundtracks from 1997.
12 dates, accompanied by Kevin Junior, the final show in Hamburg, at Knust, a slaughterhouse turned arts venue in the St.Pauli district of the city. This was to be the last show Epic would ever play. Just two weeks later, on 6th November 1997, he would pass away in his West Hampstead flat.
