Tile The Ocean

NYC dream-pop trio, Counter Service, debuts their signature atmospheric sound on their first studio album, a collection of eclectic songs with romance and revolution in every breath.

Tile The Ocean arrives with the raw edge of the phrase’s Arabic origins, as duo-vocalists Karin and George take us through dissent, depression, and desire across the album. Built on the combination of Sydney’s propulsive beats, Karin’s lumbering bass lines, and George’s delay-drenched guitars, the band expresses themselves in both English and Arabic to remind us to stay loving, stay angry, and stay connected in this cruel but beautiful world.
