Timestamp: The Collection

Earl McKenzie and Clive Gardiner are two lifelong friends who grew up together in Southall, West London. Their mutual love of soul and funk inspired them to form a 7-piece band The Class of 78 while still at school and years later became a duo McKenzie and Gardiner. They made their first demos in 1983 followed soon after by a 12" single ”From Time” which became a highly sought-after boogie-funk rare groove. This collection of unreleased demos from the early 1980s was first released digitally in 2013 and then expanded with 3 new additions in 2020. An 8-track limited edition vinyl version released in 2014 sold out immediately. Now, the full 15 track selection of demos have been remastered and packaged in full as the Timestamp: The Collection double LP with lyrics and liner notes.
