After breaking out with the Discount Fireworks EP, Roman Candle have spent the last few years tightening their sound and widening their reach.

Recent singles including Fire In The Night Sky Forever, This Band Has Led Me To Places I Wouldn’t Go With A Gun and Nothing Is Original show a band balancing chaos and clarity with real emotional weight. In January 2026, they released Can We Watch Something Happy?, drawn from vocalist Piper Ferrari’s personal experiences.

Sitting between modern emo, alt-rock and raw DIY honesty, Roman Candle began as a spark between Piper and guitarist Jonas Vece, and have grown into a fully realised four-piece. Serrated aggression meets vulnerable lyricism, placing them firmly at the front of a new wave of screamo.
