Under The Watchful Eye of Another Man’s God is the third album from East London Post Punks Cross Wires. A record shaped by unease, conviction and the stories people tell themselves to survive. Across twelve tracks, the band turn their attention to belief systems, conspiracy thinking and the pull of certainty. Recorded at Unit 24 in Homerton during the summer of 2025. Produced by Rory Attwell.
The sound is sharp-edged and restless, built from wiry guitars and fractured rhythms.
There is a tension running through the record between clarity and collapse. Songs drift between character studies and wider reflections on power and persuasion. Preachers, Believers and Jimmy Says appear as key moments within the album’s arc. Ezekiel continues the thread, circling ideas of prophecy and control. The writing is direct but unsettled, often returning to the same questions from different angles. Faith, truth and manipulation sit close together throughout.
The album follows their previous releases with a more focused and confrontational approach. It is less concerned with answers than with pressure and doubt.
