mirror system, the chilled, downtempo extension of steve hillage and miquette giraudy's well-known and long standing dance music project, system 7 return with their voluminous new textured mix cd 'reflector: mixed and compiled by mirror system'. road tested to reflect their numerous and more chilled dj sets, mirror system draw upon cutting edge artists such as trentemoller, guy gerber, shlomi aber, chymera, peace division, alex kenji and bluetech on this distinctive new musical mix. mixing in tracks from mirror system and system 7, 'reflector's soft minimal techno and electro beats prsublime chilled soundtrack, perfect for summer days and nights as the warmer season beckons. from the warm pulsating opening of their own 'healing feather' track, 'reflectormm minimal drum-led tech soundscape of the phidelity remix of evan marc and steve hillage's 'resurfacing'. shifting up a gear with guy gerber and shlomi aber's undulating 'sea of sand' stormer, another highlight is the intense tech meets east infusion of the blagger's remix of trentmoller's crisp 'gush'. peace division's 'voodoo (it's in the wall)' turns another corner as does the funky techno of matthew tanzmann's 'swim' into chymera's throbbing 'a question'. phonique's sparse funk workout 'bike ride' rolls into system 7's eastern and tech-fluenced remix of 'honey in the heart' from bluetech, and first heard on the 'dreamtime submersible' album. shlomi aber's 'looking in god's eyes' is distinctly minimal and balaeric which works with ahmet sendil remix of alex kenji's 'adelante' striking with its dubby and ambient tones. rounding 'reflector' off is system 7's epic ibiza-inspired 'sal del mar', recorded during one of their frequent summer visits.
