Produced by François Tétaz and Luke Howard, and recorded mainly at Melbourne’s Synth Temple, Tina Arena’s Way Of The World reshapes True Faith, Way of the World, Enjoy the Silence, Ordinary World, Torno Bambina and Cayendo with orchestral arrangements, prepared piano, analogue synthesis and electronic textures.

These are not straight covers but full artistic reimaginings, showing why Tina Arena remains one of Australia’s most expressive and enduring vocalists. Of first single True Faith, she says: “Making the deliberate choice to focus on the lyric of true faith was musically revelatory for me. It presented a blank musical canvas with endless vulnerability and space for me to explore.”

François Tétaz, known for work with Gotye, Kimbra and Architecture in Helsinki, brings synthesisers, Rhodes, prepared piano and drum machines, while pianist and composer Luke Howard shapes the EP’s restrained, cinematic feel. They’re joined by the Budapest Art Orchestra, Peter Knight, James Rushford, Mindy Meng Wang and orchestrator Felix Watson.
