Producer, vocalist, DJ, visual artist and illustrator Yaeji's With A Hammer marks her full-length debut album, a follow up to the 2020 prologue and mixtape WHAT WE DREW 우리가 그려왔던. With A Hammer is a 13-track album that explores a multitude of sonic tastes ranging from Korean indie rock, electronica and '90s and 2000s pop, tapping guests like Loraine James, Nourished By Time, K Wata and Enayet to assist in achieving the sounds. The music chronicles Yaeji's journey through emotions of sorrow, doubt and anger as she bursts through barriers of rules and expectations – a transformative process in which she invites listeners to undergo as well.
