A new remix 12'' featuring Darkstar's own reworking of two tracks from their latest album 'News From Nowhere', as well as an exciting offering from German producer Motor City Drum Ensemble. The first in a series of EPs, '01484' will be followed closely by 'HD7'. These remix EPs have been titled after the dialling and postal codes of the Huddersfield and surrounding areas, where 'News From Nowhere' album was recorded. The A side sees the group manipulating and remoulding 'Young Hearts', turning this track into a vivid, trippy house experimentation - and 'Armonica', transforming this into a glistening motorik groove, held together by hypnotic bass lines while piano and synth lines flitter in and out of focus. The B side sees German producer Motor City Drum Ensemble take the band's previous single 'A Day's Pay For A Day's Work' in a darker direction, with pummelling kick drums and an array of hi-hats taking centre stage amongst fractured synths and pitched down vocal samples.
