150 Swirl finds Lily Finnegan doubling down on the chemistry that made her 2025 debut Heat On! such a standout. Released by Cuneiform, it brings back the same killer quartet for another sharp, wide-open set rooted in Chicago’s deeply connected jazz community.

Edward Wilkerson, Jr. plays tenor sax, alto clarinet and Bb clarinet, Fred Jackson, Jr. handles alto sax and percussion, Nick Macri moves between upright and electric bass, and Lily Finnegan is on drums. Finnegan, still just 28, continues to thrive through era-spanning relationships with veteran masters.
