Recorded at London's New Victoria Theatre on 23 December 1975, A New Victorian Christmas captures The Sensational Alex Harvey Band at the height of their powers. Alex Harvey, Zal Cleminson, Chris Glen, Hugh McKenna and Ted McKenna blend hard rock, blues and cabaret with theatrical flair and dark humour.
The ten-track selection moves from “Gamblin' Bar Room Blues” and “Love Story” to enduring favourites “Next” and “Framed”, with a near-nine-minute “Vambo” making room for one of the band's signature stage pieces.
