ltm reissue the 1993 album 'alaska' by northern picture library, the cult london band featuring three former members of the field mice. northern picture library were a much less highly-strung project, less song-based and more dark and ambient than before, drawing influence from talk talk, brian eno and ambient / dance crossover. the cd also includes all three tracks from 'love song for the dead che', the companion ep recorded at the same sessions. 'dead che' is a cover of the song originally recorded by the united states of america. 'alaska' runs for 72 minutes, features 18 remastered tracks, and the booklet contains detailed biographical notes.
